Washington Realty Group, Inc.
was founded in 1977 and soon established itself as a successful
developer of commercial real estate. From its inception through
1984, Washington Realty Group developed the better part of
one million (1,000,000) square feet of commercial office space
in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. In 1985, at
the height of the market, WRG sold its holdings and the development
arm of the company. Thereafter, Washington Realty Group has
been exclusively a tenant/buyer advocate, representative and
consultant, taking full advantage of its development experience
in all aspects of commercial real estate activities - acquisitions,
pre-development, site assemblage, development, sales, financing,
leasing, property management, construction, construction management
and architectural/space planning.
Washington
Realty Group is knowledgeable of all the major U.S. markets
as it represents a significant number of national law firms,
serving as their exclusive tenant representative/advocate and,
when appropriate, as their exclusive national real estate specialist.
Washington Realty Group represents major law firms, and in
certain cases, other premier tenants locally, regionally, nationally
and internationally in these and other areas:
- Negotiating new leases, lease
renewals, space and rental reductions, lease terminations
and client relocations.
- Identifying lease and build-to-suit
opportunities meeting client specifications.
- Negotiating business relocation
incentives and subsidies from state, county and local development
offices.
- Coordinating lease audits
to verify accuracy of pass-through expense charges.
- Coordinating, and/or overseeing,
all parties associated with our clients on all real estate
transactions (e.g., architects, engineers, CM’s, furniture
suppliers, etc.)
